Who We Are

AUPP Liger Leadership Academy is part of the American University of Phnom Penh family of institutions, alongside AUPP High School–Foxcroft Academy. Together, these schools bring an American-style, internationally minded education to Cambodia, taught by educators from around the world and grounded in Khmer culture and community.

Our Secondary students follow the distinctive E-STEAM, project-based Liger Secondary Education Program. Our Primary School, serving Grades 1 through 6, follows an innovative Australian curriculum built for curious young learners, and we are preparing to welcome our first Kindergarten class in the 2027–28 academic year. Primary is not a supporting program here. It is a full and permanent part of who we are, built with the same rigor and the same long-term investment as our Secondary school. Every member of our staff, whether in a classroom, a residence hall, or an office, plays a part in helping students discover a lifelong love of learning and lead with purpose.

Why Join Us

Building Strong Learners. Inspiring Future Leaders.

There are many schools in Southeast Asia. What sets AUPP Liger apart is the size of the mission and the size of the community carrying it. Here is what our staff tell us they value most.

A mission you can see at work

Students building real ventures, running real experiments, and presenting real solutions, not worksheets. You will see the mission in action every day, not on a wall plaque.

A true community, not just a campus

With Residential Educators living alongside our boarding students in Grades 7 to 12, and a close-knit Primary community by day, colleagues here become genuine friends.

Room to grow, fast

We are a young, expanding institution, with an established Secondary program and a Primary School that is growing toward Kindergarten in 2027–28. Staff who join early take on real responsibility early, in both schools.

Global classroom, local heart

Work alongside Cambodian and international educators who share a genuine respect for Khmer culture, and bring your own perspective to a growing global community.

Join a Mission That Cannot Be Outsourced

At AUPP Liger Leadership Academy, education is not delivered from behind a desk. It is built alongside students, in projects that matter, in a residential community that never really closes for the day, and in Primary classrooms where young learners are forming their first real habits of curiosity.

We are part of the American University of Phnom Penh family, the same institution that has spent more than a decade producing critical thinkers, innovators, and ethical leaders across Cambodia and the region. AUPP Liger extends that same commitment to American-style, high-quality education, grounded in the culture of Cambodia and Asia. Our Primary School currently serves Grades 1 through 6, with Kindergarten anticipated for the 2027–28 academic year, and our Secondary School serves Grades 7 through 12 with a residential program.

If you are looking for a job, there are easier places to find one. If you are looking for work that shapes the next generation of principled, entrepreneurial leaders in Southeast Asia, starting from their very first years of school, we would like to meet you.

Our Mission

Our mission is to inspire every child to develop a lifelong love of learning, realize their full potential, and lead with purpose.

We cultivate curiosity, creativity, character, and an entrepreneurial spirit, empowering students to think independently, embrace challenges, and turn ideas into meaningful action.
We prepare young people to become confident, compassionate, and responsible global citizens who contribute positively to their communities and help shape a better future.

Our Core Values, and What They Mean for You

Liger’s six core values guide life on and off campus, for students and for the staff who lead them. As a prospective or current member of our team, you will be asked to hold these same standards in how you teach, manage, and support your colleagues.

What You Would Be Part Of

Who Thrives Here

We look for colleagues who are:

Life on Our Campus

Our Chroy Changvar campus is home to day students, weekly boarders, and full-time residential students in Grades 7 through 12, alongside a Primary School community in Grades 1 to 6 that goes home each evening and is preparing to welcome Kindergarten in 2027–28. Colleagues here experience the rhythm of a real, lived-in school: assemblies in the morning or afternoon, evening study halls, weekend activities, and the kind of relationships with students that only come from sharing more than classroom hours.

Growth, Support, and Belonging

Benefits

We aim for benefits that are consistent, clearly explained, and aligned with Cambodian Labor Law. Staff at AUPP Liger receive:

Relocating to Cambodia

A soft landing, start to finish.

Visa and work permit sponsorship
We handle the paperwork for your Cambodian work visa and permit as part of your offer.

Pre-arrival guidance
Our HR team, hr@aupplla.edu.kh, will connect you with practical guidance before you land in Phnom Penh.

Housing orientation
We point new staff toward neighborhoods and housing options that fit their budget and lifestyle.

A campus community from day one
Between colleagues, students, and a close-knit staff, you will not be settling in alone.

Life in Phnom Penh

Where our team chooses to live
Phnom Penh offers real choice. Many of our staff live close to campus on the Chroy Changvar peninsula, while others prefer the energy of the city center, a short ride across the river.
